Purpose: The Prevention Program Coordinator supports the delivery of HIV prevention services through testing, outreach, community education, and resource coordination. This position works closely with the Prevention Program Lead to ensure services are client-centered, culturally responsive and aligned with the funding objectives and organizational values.

A. Coordination of Prevention Services
1. Conduct HIV/STI testing and provide risk-reduction counseling, PrEP/PEP education, and harm reduction information and referral services as needed.
2. Assist with planning and staffing mobile testing events, community outreach, and awareness day activities.
3. Distribute prevention materials (condoms, testing kits, educational resources) and maintain adequate stock for events.
4. Provide referrals and linkage to care in collaboration with the Prevention Lead and case management staff.
5. Engage priority populations (LGBTQ+ communities, youth, people who inject drugs, and communities of color) through culturally responsive outreach strategies.
6. Support the Prevention Lead with event logistics, including scheduling, set-up, and breakdown of outreach/testing events.
7. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and readiness of testing areas, offices, and the mobile unit.
8. Ensure accurate completion of testing forms, logs, and other required documentation.
9. Maintain daily temperature logs for supplies and testing events.
10. Help with onboarding and orientation of interns or volunteers assisting with prevention activities.
B. Data Management, Partnerships and Reporting
1. Collect, organize, and submit client data and testing information for timely reporting.
2. Support data entry into program databases (e.g., Evaluation Web).
3. Assist the Prevention Lead with tracking program deliverables and outcomes.
4. Participate in community events, health fairs, and committee meetings to promote HIV prevention services.
5. Support development of educational and social media content to increase awareness and reduce stigma.
6. Build positive relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance prevention efforts.
7. Participate regularly in area prevention, HIV, substance abuse, mental health, and housing committee meetings to provide prevention information and promote integration of program services.
8. Promote collaboration between prevention programs in the region.
9. Attend local, regional, state, and national trainings, webinars, and meetings to gain knowledge, keep abreast of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and assist in building a network of prevention resources (as funding allows).

· Manage inventory and keep storage areas organized
· Submit the following paperwork within the allotted time frame to your supervisor and/or finance team for review:
o Timesheets, and expense reports by the 30th/31st of each month
o PTO requests, flex requests, and other requests a minimum of two weeks prior to date, or as needed.
o Bi-monthly number report for Board meetings
o Submit monthly and quarterly reports to appropriate funding sources.
D. Additional Responsibilities
1. Perform other duties as assigned based on organizational needs, which may include cross-program support, special projects, or emergent community response activities.
E. Qualifications
· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in community health, HIV prevention, or outreach.
· Experience conducting HIV/STI testing and/or risk-reduction counseling preferred (training provided if needed).
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
· Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally humble, and stigma-reducing approaches.
· Valid driver’s license required (mobile testing responsibilities).
Working Relationships with Others: The Prevention Program Coordinator is expected to maintain a collegial working relationship with CCP clients, staff, volunteers and board members; prevention providers; Disease Intervention Specialists; HIV medical case managers; housing service providers; HOPWA service agencies; mental health/substance abuse service providers; HIV/AIDS task forces; outreach workers, Ryan White service agencies and medical providers; and persons seeking information and referral regarding HIV disease and prevention services.
