POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Executive Director of Prevention, this position implements a variety of prevention program activities and support to the Amado Community Alliance delivering prevention services across southeast Pima County. The position coordinates and implements project activities, recruits new contacts, and maintains current collaborations necessary for program success. Additionally, the position maintains program documentation and prepares comprehensive, accurate, and timely reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and 2 years work experience in Human Services, Community Organization, Program facilitation, Coalition-related work, OR an associate degree in related field and 4 years of experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license.
  • Ability to meet PPEP driver requirements (minimum insurance and driving record standards).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a level 1 AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance card.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work effectively as a team member and communicate with staff, supervisors, and community stakeholders. Professional appearance and demeanor. Possess good judgment and decision-making skills with a solution-oriented mindset. Basic understanding of addiction, its impact on individuals, families, and communities, and familiarity with prevention practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to see/read a computer monitor screen and have keyboarding abilities.Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. Must be able to engage in physical activities required for job duties, including: * Stretching, reaching, bending, walking, lifting, and carrying.

AMOUNT OF TRAVEL AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS OR REQUIREMENTS:

Must have reliable transportation, valid Arizona driver’s license and required minimum insurance.Must be able and willing to drive to and from community sites.Must be able to travel in-state occasionally for training.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of addiction as a disease and its impact on individuals, families, and communities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of proven community-level prevention practices.
  • Operate Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook).
  • Apply functional knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram).
  • Maintain strong document management and organizational skills.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and a solution-oriented perspective.
