JOB SUMMARY
Purdue University is seeking a Prevention Programming Specialist to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based violence prevention strategies and programs that enhance campus safety and well-being. In this collaborative role, you will work closely with the Director and prevention team to set program objectives aligned with departmental goals, contribute to both short- and long-term education and outreach initiatives, and help oversee university-wide prevention efforts. A key responsibility includes co-leading the Educational Ambassador Program, which engages the campus community in proactive violence prevention education.
You will also provide confidential support, advocacy, and resources to students affected by interpersonal violence, including stalking, relationship violence, sexual exploitation, and sexual violence. This involves delivering crisis response and individual and community-level intervention services while guiding students through the criminal justice and campus judicial processes. Your work will directly contribute to fostering a safer, more informed university environment.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Required:
A Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field (e.g., social work, health education, public health, psychology, criminal justice) is necessary.Experience working with survivors of interpersonal violence
Preferred:
Having a Master’s or advanced degree.Experience applying issues of social justice to a prevention practice.
