Description
Hotel Royal Oak is currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance and possess the skills necessary to ensure that our hotel and its systems operate smoothly and efficiently. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the overall guest experience by maintaining the hotel's infrastructure to the highest standards. As a Preventive Maintenance Technician, you will perform regular inspections, identify potential issues before they become significant problems, and execute maintenance tasks as per our preventive maintenance schedule. You will work alongside our talented property management team to ensure that every aspect of the hotel is functioning optimally, from HVAC to plumbing and electrical systems. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify and address any maintenance needs. Implement and manage a preventive maintenance program for all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical infrastructure components. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, including troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently. Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and services performed. Collaborate with the management team to schedule maintenance work minimizing guest disruption. Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing maintenance duties. Assist in managing vendor relationships for specialized maintenance work and upgrades. Be available for on-call emergencies, responding swiftly to urgent situations. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in facilities maintenance or a related field is a plus. Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or facility management setting. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, drywall and general maintenance practices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and guests. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are required.
