An exciting opportunity is now available for a Prevocational Support Officer to join our Junior Medical Workforce Team on a permanent full time basis. This position is based at Nepean Hospital.
The Prevocational Support Officer reports to the Prevocational Medical Trainees Manager and is responsible for tasks that support Prevocational Trainees and Supervised Practice Trainees. These tasks include but are not limited to obtaining rosters for Prevocational Trainees, Supervised Practice Trainees and Medical Workforce Staff and entering rosters into HealthRoster. You will be expected to utilize payroll quality error reports to eliminate errors while managing and processing pay adjustments to ensure that employees are paid according to their roster
To be successful in this role you will be required to maintain up to date knowledge and understanding/application of JMO conditions of employment.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to undertake advanced rostering/pay duties involving the calculation of employee pays and entitlements together with advice to employees on pay and conditions, ensuring that Health Roster entries are consistent with provisions of the Award
  • Ability to undertake research, develop policies/procedures or provide advice to senior staff
  • Ability to undertake advanced administrative tasks such as: preparing reports on a range of metrics using different HRIS, acting as the secretariat to a number of meetings and using applications to complete financial tasks
  • High level analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to resolve or escalate matters as they arise
  • Possess well developed communication skills and the ability to bring a creative approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work under limited direction and guidance with regard to work priorities and balance competing demands within a complex, high volume working environment
  • Ability to support the JMO employment functions
