Responsibilities

The actuarial pricing team within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is looking to hire a motivated actuary to join the team. This role will have responsibility for the following:

  • Working with partners to continue developing out best-in-class FinPro rating models and methods by making greater use of our technology, internal data assets and exploring broader datasets.
  • Partner with underwriting leadership to provide strategic direction as needed.
  • Support individual deal pricing focusing on large FinPro accounts.
  • Deliver quarterly profitability reviews that provide portfolio steering insight and underwriting recommendations to our FinPro underwriting leaders.
  • Coordinate the rate monitoring process produced by the rating models and ensure feedback loops back to our profitability and planning analysis.
  • Research analysis into the external market environment including industry trends, market conditions, and rate change.

A successful candidate will take ownership of our pricing models and be creative in finding ways to improve them. FinPro data is heterogeneous, so the individual should be comfortable working with limited data and be curious to find ways alternative data sources can be incorporated. The role also requires developing strong product knowledge and a willingness to partner with underwriting/claims leadership.
