PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Pricing Analyst in Westport, Ireland on a permanent basis reporting to Pricing and Trading Manager. JOB SUMMARY:

Portwest UC are looking for a pricing data analyst to research, analyse, and interpret data to develop optimal pricing strategies for Portwest products, aiming to maximize profitability while staying competitive. They will work with market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to inform pricing decisions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of up to 3 years experience in a relevant role.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field like mathematics, statistics, economics, or finance is typically required
  • Analytical Skills - Strong quantitative and analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Data Analysis Tools - Proficiency in using data analysis tools like Excel, Access, Power Query for Data analysis.
  • Financial Acumen - Understanding of financial principles, including cost analysis, profitability, and revenue management.
  • Communication Skills - Ability to clearly communicate complex pricing analysis findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving - Ability to identify and solve complex pricing problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Attention to Detail - Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis and reporting.

  • Monitoring and Optimization - Continuously monitor pricing performance, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies as needed.
