Why This Role Matters The Pricing Associate is responsible for the efficient and accurate administration of prospect quotes and alternative quotes, maintaining advisor records, and creating scheduled or on-demand statistical and summary reporting. This role plays a key part in ensuring our pricing processes run smoothly and that our advisors, clients, and carriers receive accurate, timely information. This is a 12-month contract role, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring one day per month in our Calgary office with the local team, and the remainder from home. What You'll Be Responsible For * Review incoming information for completeness and identify inconsistencies or inaccuracies in client census, plan design, rate history, and experience in order to produce quotes * Create prospect and alternative quotes by entering data into applicable software or underwriting arrangements for pricing by the RVP/BDM's, accurately adhering to all carrier underwriting guidelines * Maintain partner records on the CRM system * Create scheduled and on-demand summary and statistical reporting for advisors, clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders * Manage the pricing general email inbox and maintain the shared CRM dashboard * Accurately track correspondence and work items in a timely manner * Prepare an accurate sold quote before hand-off to the New Business department for setup * Suggest ways to improve and simplify existing processes What You Bring to the Table * Exceptionally high level of accuracy and attention to detail * Above average analytical skills * Strong oral, listening, and written communication skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities in an environment of continuous change * Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines while adhering to departmental standards * Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment where tasks may be shared or handed off to meet daily deadlines * Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to accomplish tasks expediently and with minimal supervision * Experience in group benefits or an administrative-related field is an asset * Completion of post-secondary education in mathematics or statistics is an asset Critical Competencies You will succeed in this role if you are: * An Accuracy & Timeliness Professional – Completes items promptly while diligently managing outstanding work, with a commitment to minimizing errors and upholding data integrity through consistent review and verification. * A Judgement & Reasoning Professional – Assesses information and applies experience and training to interpret and enhance it, aligning with systems and processes to deliver accurate results and a positive client experience. * A Skill Agility Professional – Thoughtfully prioritizes and selects daily tasks to maintain proficiency across all role functions, including quotes, reporting, and advisor record maintenance, while consistently adhering to the established priority schedule. * A Team Player – Works with others to achieve individual, team, department, and organizational goals. Compensation At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary for this position is $45,000-$50,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass the comprehensive total rewards package that we proudly offer.
