EQUIPMENT USED IN THE JOB:

Electronic scanner, personal computer (spreadsheet software), pricing software, Retalix, multi line phone system, overhead pager system.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of a high school education or General Equivalency Diploma.

NUMBER OF YEARS EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of six months’ experience working in a retail environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, labels, pricing structures
Ability to talk to others (internal customers/coworkers and external customers) to convey information effectively and professionally.

PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:

Responsible to print and attach price tickets to merchandise using a pricing guide. Responsible to ensure accuracy of all price changes, advertisement pricing, and mark down pricing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

1. Put price information on merchandise, using preprinted shelf tags.
2. Compare printed price tickets with entries on purchase orders to verify accuracy of all prices and notify store manager of any discrepancies.
3. Affix appropriate merchandise price tags to shelves with corresponding merchandise.
4. Responsible for reviewing and changing tags daily, weekly, monthly or as needed for sale merchandise.
5. Record price and grade of product in spreadsheet for weekly reporting.
6. All other duties as assigned
