QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO SUCCEED:

  • An academic degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience in pricing, controlling, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (VBA skills are a plus).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and other standard software.
  • Experience in the payments industry or financial services is a plus but not required.
  • Strong presentation and visualization skills.
  • Fluency in both Finnish and English (spoken and written) is a requirement

Responsibilities:

ABOUT YOUR FUTURE ROLE

The Merchant Solutions (MS) business unit addresses our customers’ payment acceptance needs in physical stores. MS serves both Large and Key Accounts (LAKA) with customized support models and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with scalable service options. Our offerings include payment terminals, payment settlement services (Acquiring), a variety of Value-Added Services (VAS), and comprehensive customer support.
As a Pricing Manager , you will be the go-to expert for all pricing-related matters within MS. You’ll work closely with senior pricing leaders to set prices for both LAKA and SME accounts, ensuring profitability and supporting business growth. While LAKA pricing requires a more tailored approach, SME pricing is based on standardized models, with room for flexibility to stay competitive and profitable.
You will work within the Finnish marketing team, collaborating with colleagues in local commercial teams, as well as teams across the Nordics and Europe. The pricing community in particular works closely together on the Nordic level.
In LAKA pricing , you’ll collaborate with the sales team during tender processes and contract renegotiations, ensuring that pricing aligns with margin targets and company objectives. You’ll also provide strategic advice to management regarding the optimal pricing for individual accounts, based on customer specifics and the competitive landscape.
In SME pricing , you will analyze the profitability of customer segments, define pricing structures for core products and value-added services, and identify opportunities for growth within the existing customer base. You’ll also manage repricing efforts as necessary.
Your role will also include performing analytical work related to the merchant portfolio, as well as contributing to the development of pricing models, tools, and processes.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Pricing for Large Accounts (LAKA) to ensure alignment with financial and strategic goals
  • Development of SME pricing structures to cater to diverse customer needs while maintaining market competitiveness and profitability
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and implement overarching pricing strategies
  • Ongoing analysis of customer portfolio performance and the impact of internal and external factors on profitability
  • Creation of pricing models, tools, and processes to enhance operational efficiency
  • Participation in internal discussions regarding key customers, with occasional involvement in customer meetings
  • Presentation of pricing proposals and negotiation strategies to senior leadership for approval
  • Driving pricing excellence and identifying market opportunities
  • Continuous improvement of Nets’ internal and external pricing intelligence
