Description
Set up, understand, and proficiently operate applicable CNC controlled equipment. (May include Turret, Brake, Power Press, or Laser). Load and unload raw material and unload finished parts from machine. Perform first article and in-process inspection of parts to prints. Perform all tooling or die changes. Troubleshoot equipment as necessary; understand root cause issue and fix when within skill level; perform minor preventive maintenance functions. ID and tag product with shop orders. Retrieve/enter data into system. Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities. Additional duties as assigned. Machine Operations experience in industrial/manufacturing environment. Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of LOCATION (50 miles) will be considered for this position. Three years' experience setting up and operating power presses, turrets, lasers, etc. Computer skills to include CNC program loading. Experience with SAP. Possess working knowledge of equipment operations, tooling (turret, presses, dies) and product. Possess strong math skills. Excellent work ethic. The ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Be willing to train any of the essential functions to others. Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil. Ability to read, interpret and operate press from prints and shop drawings. Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high noise areas). Ability to become forklift certified Able to read tape measures, scales, calipers, etc. Ability to ID different gauges and types of raw materials. Strong problem-solving skills. Able to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision. Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending. Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks. Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail. Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate.
