MEGA Education is a NEAS Accredited ELICOS College and a Registered Training Organisation, delivering high quality ELICOS courses, including but not limited to the High School Preparation program, to international students. We are located in Sydney’s CBD.
We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced High School Preparation teacher to join our team!

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Must have experience in teaching ELICOS
  • Must have experience teaching students under 18 years old ideally in a High School setting
  • TESOL qualification of at least Certificate IV level (highly recommended)
  • A relevant degree or diploma with at least three years full-time or equivalent experience
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to deal with students of different levels
  • Excellent ability to support and mentor students
  • Excellent ability to engage students in classroom delivery
  • Excellent ability in teaching with technology
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and computer skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational ability to complete administrative duties.
  • Ability to deal with unexpected issues and differing student needs
    Job Type: Casual
    Pay: $54.20 – $68.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 25 per week

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality lessons focusing on all language skills covering key Australian high school subjects
  • Ability to engage students whilst delivering face-to-face teaching
  • Developing and implementing teaching resources
  • Ability to relate to international students and provide welfare support to them
  • Assessing students’ English language development and providing regular feedback
  • Conducting formal English assessments every four weeks
  • Attend and actively participate in Staff Meetings and Professional Development Workshops
  • Other duties as required by the Academic Manager
