Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

At North Shore, we focus on student’s learning with a holistic approach. We have carefully designed the lesson planned for each week for each term catering to students aspiring for Gifted and Talented, Scholarship, NAPLAN, PEAC, WACE and UCAT exams in WA.

IN THE TUTOR ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Teaching students using the provided North Shore teaching material
  • Mentoring students in a positive, caring manner to promote self-esteem and self-worth
  • Available to commit to a full Term (10 Weeks)
  • Using your strong rapport building skills to develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents
  • Keeping an accurate Attendance record of your students’ progress and goals on a weekly basis
  • Providing verbal and written feedback to parents

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • A friendly, professional and personable manner
  • Able to speak English fluently in order to deliver the lesson clearly and concisely
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Demonstrate a positive, vibrant personality
  • Confidence using software and computers
  • Genuine love for learning and teaching
  • Reliable, high attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to teach face to face in one or more of our seven campus across Perth
  • You must be in Perth for a face to face interview.
  • After interview, if shortlisted, you must attend an induction session to be offered a position
  • Have a driving license and/or have access to reliable transport (preferred but not mandatory)
