PRIMARY CLASSROOM TEACHER (GRADES JK-3)

Newton’s Grove School has been in operation over 45 years and is a leading JK-12 student-focused university prep school in Mississauga. Each year, our graduates earn an average of 5.5 offers of university acceptance and are prepared to succeed at university and beyond.
Over the past five years, our student population has grown by approximately 50 well-qualified students each year as we have planned. This is due to the great work of our faculty and staff team in this outstanding facility. We are poised to begin a third and final phase of renovation that will provide additional learning and gathering spaces for a student population of 900 students. This optimal number of students will ensure each student benefits from engaging choices in courses, extra-curricular activities, and relationships.
As we prepare for further growth, we have identified the need for additional dynamic Primary (grades JK-6) classroom teachers to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. We are seeking a teacher with the energy, experience, and resourcefulness needed to do the best for our students. We are excited to be opening our new JK - 3 Campus in Etobicoke, and this new teacher will be integral to a successful start!
Required Background
· Ontario College of Teachers Certification
· Knowledge of the Ontario Elementary Educational Program and Curriculum
· History of dynamic and effective teaching in a variety of Canadian schools and divisions
· Exceptional collaboration skills in work with colleagues
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
· A proven ability to support students to do their best
