• Maintain the Standards of Practice and the Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession as outlined by the Ontario College of Teachers
• To teach diligently and faithfully, from a Reformed Biblical view, the school’s course(s) of study
• To participate and/or conduct normally scheduled Parent-Teacher interviews
• To be ready and willing to discuss, as needed, the child’s progress with the parents, using adequate records of achievement
• To use methods, appropriate for different learning styles
• To establish and maintain good classroom management Qualifications
• Commitment to the school’s mission, vision, and values
• Current professional OCT (Ontario Teachers Certificate) certification and/or a CSTC (Christan School Teachers Certificate) or a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for early learners
• Demonstrated computer skills, e.g. Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, email, and data management systems
