Are you passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people? We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated Primary Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Primary Mental Health Service in Sheffield.
You’ll work both independently and collaboratively across communities, supporting young people and families in partnership with local authorities and third-sector organisations. This role is deeply rooted in early intervention and prevention—making a difference, right from the start.
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in child and adolescent mental health and a diverse therapeutic toolkit. You’ll excel in a role that values autonomy and creativity, and offers scope to influence service development.

Reporting into the Specialist PMH Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
Be the first contact for referrals into the service
Conduct clinical consultations and assessments
Collaboratively produce tailored support plans
Offer advice, screening, and signposting to appropriate services
Signpost to relevant services, resources, or therapeutic interventions
Collaborate with different professionals across sectors
Support staff in their work with young people by offering guidance
Promote holistic and integrated care approaches

Please note that Sheffield Children’s uplift pay to meet the Real Living Wage, which is £12.60 per hour.
