QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Degree in sports PE/sports coaching.
or
Level 4 School sports coaching
Level 1 and or 2 NGB qualifications or something similar.
Other skills: Classroom Management, Verbal Communication, Resolving Conflict, Self-Motivated, Motivating Others, Teaching, Listening, Energy Level, Confidentiality, Emotional Control, and Handles Pressure.

Job Type: 30- 37.5 hours a week

Responsibilities
  • To prepare, deliver and evaluate well-structured and progressive physical activity sessions programmes ensuring a high quality, enjoyable experience centred around the needs of the participants
  • Delivering the Physical Education national curriculum to primary school Children engaging the appropriate age and ability level.
  • Delivering Continual Professional development courses in primary schools.
  • Mentoring staff.
  • To take positive steps to identify and overcome barriers to participation amongst children, prioritising access, and inclusion
  • Manage children’s behaviour to ensure a positive learning environment
  • To carry out duties in accordance with the Kanga policies, including equal opportunities, child protection and health and safety.
  • To attend appropriate professional development
  • To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children to participate in sport and physical activity.
  • To be a positive ambassador for the Kanga Sports brand and demonstrate our company values
  • Manage a small team of coaches
    There is an opportunity to progress into a leadership role.
