Our Client, Sodhi Family Trust is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Primary Products Assurance and Inspection Officer to join our thriving farm operation in New South Wales. In this hands-on role, you will oversee quality assurance processes, conduct inspections of agricultural products, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and maintain the highest standards of food safety and product integrity. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of primary production practices, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering premium quality products to market.
Job Responsibility:
· Inspect and grade berries to ensure compliance with grades, standards, and phytosanitary requirements
Job Duties:
· Visually inspects berries to determine grade and compliance with state and federal standards, industry contract specifications, and phytosanitary requirements.
· Inspects and samples of berries; for example feed, seed, fertilizer, and those needed for other plant pest management projects.
· Conducts trappings, surveys, and facility inspections.
· Ensures compliance with state and federal laws applicable to products.
· Checks size of berries, amount, and seriousness of defects.
· Observes and records colour characteristics, firmness, maturity, and shape.
· Issues inspection report showing the grade and condition of the inspected berries.
· Explains, both verbally and in writing, the grading system and related standards to produce and commodity clients.
· Prepares and maintains reports, records, and forms related to the work.
· Performs related work and other tasks as assigned.
Qualification:
· AQF Diploma or Higher
· Minimum 3 years of experience in related field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
