We are looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals to join our team of Chess Coaches.
You don’t need to be a chess expert—what we’re looking for is a passion for teaching and a love for working with children. If you have the energy to inspire and the drive to create a fun, educational environment, we want to hear from you!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Enthusiasm is key for teaching and working with children. A basic chess knowledge is needed and expertise is a bonus but not required!
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with children in any setting is helpful, but not essential
  • Reliability, punctuality, observations to ensure children’s safe-guarding and a professional attitude at all times
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • First Aid certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and keep in order; a class of 16 children aged from 6 - 11 years
  • Conduct regular training sessions, ensuring they are engaging, productive and safe.
  • Monitor the children’s progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Foster a supportive team culture that encourages participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Organise and lead competitive events, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with Team Leader, parents and other members of school staff regarding any concerns or issues.
  • Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and strategies to enhance training effectiveness.
