Job Purpose:The Primary School Cleaner plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role involves performing routine cleaning duties to ensure that all areas of the school premises are hygienic, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.

• Cleaning and Tidying:
• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, bathrooms, and communal areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, surfaces, and windows.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and other restroom fixtures.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners.
• Maintaining Hygiene and Safety:
• Ensure that cleaning products are used in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Follow school-specific cleaning protocols to minimize risks of infection or contamination.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials.
• Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
• Clean and maintain kitchen areas, if required, following safety and hygiene regulations.
• Clean windows, both inside and outside, on occasion.
• Assist with deep cleaning and periodic maintenance as directed.
• Stock Management:
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the Facilities Manager when stock levels are low.
• Store cleaning supplies safely and ensure they are properly labeled and maintained.
• General Support:
• Assist with setting up spaces for school events, meetings, or assemblies as needed.
• Ensure all areas of the school are secure, including locking doors and windows after cleaning.
• Report any damages or maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager.
