Head Sports Coach

Future Stars Coaching are a sports coaching company based in the South West working in over 30 Primary Schools across North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire. With the vision to inspire and motivate people to be the best they can be. Future Stars mission is to provide an inspirational, fun and safe environment in order to provide a pathway for people and organisations to reach their full potential.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR…
We are looking for an ambitious, driven PE coach to join our fantastic team. As a member of the Future Stars team you will be delivering PE provisions which range from Breakfast Clubs, Wrap Around Care, PPA, Our bespoke CPD lessons, Lunch Clubs & After School Clubs.
The Head coach we are looking for will have at least 2 years experience working within the primary school sector. The role will require you to work alone and as a part of a team with other staff from Future Stars. The candidate must be organised, positive and a passionate individual. Strong behaviour management skills are a must, as well as experience of working with both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Primary School pupils.
Hours will be between 07.30am – 18:00pm
This role will include a 3 month probation period.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following:
· GCSE’s and/or A Levels (or equivalent) in PE or BTEC Sport
· At least 2 years experience in a Primary School settings – working with children from all backgrounds and leading sessions without support
· Ability and commitment to continue developing knowledge and skills within sports coaching
· Recognised NGB Level 2 certificate in Sports Coaching or childcare
· Full UK driving license, has own transport
· Valid DBS certificate
· Valid safeguarding and First Aid certificate
· Willing to undertake training and professional development where necessary
· Excellent communication skills
· Prioritise the safety and well being of the young children they work with
· Are organised and punctual
· Can work alone or as part of a team
· A positive attitude
It is desirable that the successful candidate has the following:
· Degree or higher level qualification
· Experience in the Real PE programme
· Experience in sports Holiday Clubs
· Experience in Breakfast Clubs & Wrap Around Care sessions
· Lead lunchtime sporting activities
· Leading CPD/PPA PE lessons with class teachers in both indoor and outdoor activities whilst completing necessary documents
· Leading After School Clubs in a variety of sports and age groups
· Lead Breakfast Club & Wrap Around Care Provisions
· Support the companies cover management process to fulfill contracts
· Confident in delivering a wide range of sports using the Future Stars lesson structure
· To effectively plan, deliver and evaluate a range of high quality multi skill and sport specific sessions
· Follow Future Stars and school safeguarding procedures (Including all policies & procedures)
· Manage pupils behaviour at all times
· Making sure that each child progresses by providing high quality feedback and subject knowledge
· Representing the company in a positive manner
· Have positive and confident conversations with teachers and parents
· To ensure pupils are taught accordingly to their individual needs and capabilities
· To employ different coaching techniques and ability to adapt to all Primary School aged children
