REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Trainee teachers also welcome.
  • Proven experience teaching primary school students (Years 3-6) and/or 11+ preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and 11+ exam requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
  • Ability to manage small groups and differentiate instruction effectively.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Possible experience in delivering tuition in a group setting but not a requirement.
  • Familiarity with 11+ exam boards (e.g., GL, CEM).
  • Creative teaching approaches to make learning fun and impactful.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teachers to deliver engaging tuition sessions to small groups of students for Years 3 to 6, as well as those preparing for the 11+ entrance exams. The successful candidates will inspire and motivate young learners, ensuring they build confidence and achieve academic success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and deliver interactive, high-quality tuition sessions for small groups of students in Years 3-6 and 11+ preparation.
  • Teach core subjects including Maths, English, and Reasoning (Verbal, Non-Verbal, and Numerical).
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with the Extra Learning UK team to ensure alignment with our curriculum and goals.
