Each classroom has both an English- and Spanish-speaking co-teacher working collaboratively to tailor learning for every child. We follow Talk for Writing, White Rose Mathematics, and our own bilingual approach to phonics. Experience in any of these is advantageous but not required.

Decisions are made collaboratively wherever possible, as we recognise that teachers know the children best. As a purposefully smaller school, our leaders and teachers know each child on campus, reinforcing our commitment to building a community-driven school. While we are bilingual, we do not expect fluency in Spanish, only a positive attitude towards learning.

All candidates are expected to have:

• A Bachelor of Education degree or a PGCE from an accredited university, and QTS or other internationally recognised teaching qualification (expectation)
• At least two years of recent experience in whole-class teaching of the Primary UK National Curriculum (preferably)
• Secure knowledge of excellent classroom practice in teaching, learning, assessment and reporting
• A willingness and enthusiasm to collaborate with co-teachers, teaching assistants and subject specialists
• Secure knowledge of safeguarding and child protection best practice
• An understanding of Spanish is not an expectation, but a willingness to learn is.
