Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Primary Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their foundational educational journey. Duties
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for subjects including Math, English, and early childhood education.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, participation, and respect among students.
- Use effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and address student needs holistically.
- Utilize technology tools such as Microsoft Office applications and other educational software to enhance instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and behavioral reports while managing classroom organization efficiently.
- Support bilingual learning environments by incorporating French language instruction when applicable.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and teaching methodologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in classroom settings or tutoring roles, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of Math concepts appropriate for primary levels and effective teaching techniques for early childhood education.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with students, parents, colleagues, and community members effectively.
- Strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and educational technology tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple responsibilities.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education programs is preferred.
- Knowledge of writing skills development tailored for young learners’ literacy growth.
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs while maintaining a lively and motivating classroom environment.
