St Helena’s Catholic Primary School (Catholic Education Western Australia) is a co-educational primary school catering for over 490 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

Year 1 Teacher - Temporary - 12/10/2026 to 31/12/2026.

Specialist Teacher - Physical Education - Ongoing FTE 0.62 commencing 2027.

Teacher - Ongoing Full-time commencing 2027.

Selection Criteria

Applications are invited from educators who can demonstrate:

• Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.

• Possess a sound knowledge of the Religious Education Units of Work and the Western Australian Curriculum.

• Possess a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum - Health & Physical Education if applicable.

• Knowledge of the Western Australia Curriculum and the SCSA Judging Standards with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning.

• A repertoire of effective teaching strategies that positively impact student engagement and learning outcomes.

• Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and continuous monitoring methods and tools to adjust the teaching practices to cater for the needs of all students.

• Display excellent classroom management, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.

• Demonstrate the capabilities to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning and to enhance one’s own teaching instructions and the learning culture of the school.

• Demonstrate the skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and Parish in promoting a nurturing Catholic school community.

Qualifications Required

• Early Childhood Qualification if applicable.

• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.

• Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Qualifications.
