OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated primary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young learners, including those with additional learning needs. This role requires creativity, patience, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students and support their individual learning journeys. The post is a fixed term maternity cover working Thursdays and Fridays. Pay Scale goes from KMS1 to KMS6, depending on experience.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children in an independent educational setting is essential; experience in ALN education is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the varying needs of pupils.
  • A creative approach to lesson planning and classroom activities that inspires students’ interest in learning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in education.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities and autism.
  • Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to create an inclusive educational environment.
  • Utilise creative writing and other innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement.
  • Provide tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional assistance in their studies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and behaviour, ensuring compliance with school policies.
