Description
Closing Date: 1st May 2026 Contract Type: Temporary until 25th June 2027 Salary: £7,231 - £10,890 Hours: 7 hours per week Corbiewood Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, nurturing and skilled class teacher.  This is a part-time and temporary position, 7 hours per week for session 2026/2027.  Corbiewood Primary is a new school being built for the South Stirling Gateway housing development. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to help shape the culture, ethos, and direction of learning in a new school as a class teacher. We are looking for a primary teacher who is reflective, enjoys collaboration, creative in their practice and will work effectively in a team as part of a new school community. Corbiewood Primary School is situated in the South Stirling Gateway development, a new residential area. As the school building is currently due to be completed in September 2026, pupils enrolled in Corbiewood Primary School in August will be temporarily accommodated within another nearby school until the school building is complete. They will be Corbiewood Primary School pupils, with their own uniform, classroom and teaching staff who will all transfer with pupils once the school building is complete. Applicants should be explicit in detailing the required skills, experience and attributes that you are able to bring to this post. Please note that although the application process allows the uploading of a CV (resume), this is not a requirement for teaching posts and if submitted will not be taken into account during shortlisting to ensure a consistent approach for assessing all candidates. You should instead fully answer the question section with all relevant experience and skills. The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.  If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified. If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.  Job Description [https://www.stirling.gov.uk/media/i4ufyrec/primary_teacher_bt_01102024.pdf] Teacher Additional Information [https://www.stirling.gov.uk/media/niof4toc/teachers-additional-information.pdf] Stirling Information [https://www.stirling.gov.uk/media/arjfm1fz/stirling-council-recruitment-pack.pdf]
