Description About the Position & Its Impact The Primary Therapist provides individual and group psychotherapy to clients in Onsite’s Intensive Outpatient Program, while supporting aftercare planning and care coordination throughout each client’s journey. This role sits at the heart of transformation. You won’t just guide therapy sessions—you’ll walk alongside individuals as they process trauma, reconnect with themselves, and begin to rebuild their lives with greater clarity, safety, and hope. The work is deeply relational and meaningful, creating space for clients to be seen, supported, and changed in ways that extend far beyond their time in the program. About the Day-to-Day in This Role Facilitate three, three-hour therapy groups each week, creating a safe, engaging, and trauma-informed environment for client growth Lead one 90-minute individual therapy session per client weekly, tailoring care to each person’s unique story and goals Support a caseload of up to 8 clients, walking with them throughout their program experience Guide aftercare planning to ensure continuity of care and long-term success beyond Onsite Collaborate closely with internal teams and external providers to support each client’s full treatment journey Provide case management, family or couple support, and maintain relationships with referral partners as needed Document clinical work thoughtfully and consistently within the EMR system Stay current with evolving clinical practices, bringing a trauma-informed and experiential lens to your work Contribute to thought leadership and storytelling efforts through content creation (e.g., blogs, social media) as opportunities arise Help cultivate a culture rooted in Onsite’s ANCHOR values—showing up with authenticity, humility, and care for both clients and team members Play an active role in shaping a client experience that feels supportive, human, and deeply impactful Requirements Ideal Education & Experience for the Role Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field Active licensure in the state of Tennessee (or ability to obtain within one year) Experience facilitating group therapy, ideally in an intensive or structured setting Strong background in trauma-informed care Familiarity with experiential and/or psychodrama modalities We are open to candidates of all backgrounds who bring a deep commitment to clinical excellence, emotional presence, and meaningful client care. Responsibilities
