TOGETHER, WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN PATIENTS' LIVES.   SUMMARY The Principal Accountant is accountable for site-level financial accounting activities, ensuring the accurate capture, recording, and timely reporting of financial information in compliance with IFRS. This role partners closely with other Finance teams to maintain a strong balance sheet integrity, effective intercompany accounting, and sustain a high level of financial audit readiness.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   Financial Accounting  * Capture, review, and accurately record financial transactions for the site * Prepare financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, in accordance with IFRS * Oversee payroll accounting, including reconciliation of hours paid versus hours worked across all departments, supporting labor and cost transparency * Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, including review of journal entries, accruals, and submission to the consolidation tool * Oversee timely and accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts Liquidity Forecasting * Assist the Finance Controller with preparation and validation of inputs for the liquidity forecast Balance Sheet & Working Capital Management * Perform monthly balance sheet reviews with a strong focus on Net Working Capital movements, identifying trends, risks, and anomalies * Proactively highlight potential balance sheet risks and Working Capital impacts to the Finance Controller, with clear explanations and recommended actions Audits, Compliance, & Controls * Coordinate and support internal and external financial audits * Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations and company accounting policies * Maintain strong documentation and audit trails to support financial statements and key accounting judgments * Ensure adherence to internal control standards within the accounting function   LEADERSHIP & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES PROVIDES GUIDANCE AND LEADERSHIP WHERE APPROPRIATE.   SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES Every individual is personally responsible for the safety and environmental aspects of their activities in the workplace. Five years of progressive experience in core accounting, including demonstrated ownership of month-end close and internal control processes in a manufacturing organization.    Experience leveraging SAP ERP and consolidation tools to support financial reporting and month-end close processes. Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global environment.   LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS ABILITY TO WORK WITH MATHEMATICAL CONCEPTS SUCH AS PROBABILITY AND STATISTICAL INFERENCE. ABILITY TO APPLY CONCEPTS SUCH AS FRACTIONS, PERCENTAGES, RATIOS, AND PROPORTIONS TO PRACTICAL SITUATIONS.   REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
