Our Market Intelligence & Performance Management team has an opportunity for you!
We are responsible for local market intelligence, strategy, go-to-market, and performance management, which aims to drive short and long-term DMA-level profitability. We are seeking a highly strategic and analytical leader with strong research experience, to serve as Principal, Local Market Research & Insights.
In this role, you will partner across the organization defining and transforming complex research data into compelling insights and go-to-market opportunities tailored for key local markets. You’ll help shape our understanding of local markets, uncover nuanced customer needs, build market-specific playbooks, and propose initiatives that directly impact local profitability and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years in product marketing, consumer insights, or strategy roles; experience with market and consumer segmentation required.
  • Proven ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills; able to influence senior executives and field teams.
  • Strong understanding of customer archetypes, behavior of drivers, and regional differentiation.
  • Experience in a Fortune 500+ or similarly complex matrixed organization preferred.
  • BA/BS required; MBA or related advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • An understanding of business products and services, as well as network architecture.
  • Willing to be challenged, excellent interpersonal communications, good collaboration, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to think analytically and fast while managing changes and ambiguity.
    Education/Experience: Master’s degree (MS/MA) desired from an accredited University in a Quantitative field of study such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or Physics. 7+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

    Our Principal, Advanced Analytics earns between $143,800 - $215,800 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
Responsibilities
  • Consolidate and refine existing research including customer segments, market archetypes, and market trends to develop localized market perspectives.
  • Identify and lead incremental research initiatives to uncover DMA-specific insights that inform the holistic strategy, evaluation of opportunities, and execution of GTM.
  • Develop and own DMA Playbooks that synthesize actionable business insights, competitive dynamics, in-market performance, and opportunity analysis.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Research, Analytics, Network, Product, Marketing, Sales, Distribution, and others to align research and define local opportunities.
  • Deliver cross-DMA insights that lead to strategic prioritization of research and playbooks, as well as scalable localized execution across multiple DMAs at once.
  • Establish recommendations and frameworks for optimized local market evaluation, strategic analysis, profitability assessments, and long-term growth drivers.
  • Craft compelling narratives and storytelling materials for executive stakeholders and field enablement.
