Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE / O TE TURANGA

We have a 12-month fixed term role available leading the design and delivery of the Inspectorate Capability Uplift programme, ensuring our workforce is ready for current and future needs. Priorities include developing the Inspector Pathway Capability Framework, role design and a remuneration strategy. The role combines organisational development expertise with strong project management skills to ensure clear communication, effective stakeholder engagement and timely delivery of agreed outcomes. Working closely with the OD team, it ensures solutions align with WorkSafe frameworks and can be adapted organisation-wide for sustainable, high-impact capability improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO/ KO TOU AKE MAHI

  • Shape the future of WorkSafe’s Inspectorate by leading initiatives that strengthen capability and enhance regulatory effectiveness
  • Engage with leaders and operational staff to understand what’s needed now and in the future, turning insights into clear, actionable requirements
  • Drive impactful projects - from designing the Inspector Pathway Capability Framework to role design and remuneration strategies
  • Working strategically across OD and Operations, collaborating across the organisation to deliver sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
