POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior AI and Data Architect will lead the design, development, and implementation of PCCA’s advanced cloud data infrastructure, enabling seamless integration of business intelligence (BI) and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
This individual will take ownership of the data platform, ensuring it evolves to support both BI and advanced analytics use cases, including machine learning and AI-driven insights.
The role requires a deep technical foundation in data architecture, a proven ability to implement modern data strategies, and strong leadership to guide a high-performing team.
This role will ensure the data platform not only supports advanced analytics but also drives business value by enabling actionable insights and innovation in personalized medicine.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise:
- Exceptional ability to create comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural blueprints and diagrams, effectively conveying complex concepts and driving architectural standards.
- Proven tracking record of designing and implementing medallion architectures and star-schema data warehouses.
- Experience operationalizing AI and ML models.
- Proficiency in cloud data platforms, with a focus on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Power BI.
- Advanced knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, data orchestration tools, and metadata management.
- Experience in influencing and driving organizational change.
- AI/ML Knowledge:
- Experience in integrating AI/ML workflows into data architectures.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques for data labeling, feature engineering, and model management.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Proven experience leading technical teams and mentoring team members.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical effectively and business stakeholders.
- Agile and DevOps Experience:
- Demonstrated success working in SCRUM Agile environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric.
- Emerging AI tools and technologies.
- Proven track record of aligning technical strategy with organizational goals.
- Experience in enterprise-level data governance and security frameworks.
- Familiarity with integrating structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data into unified systems.
- Exposure to version control systems like GitHub or Azure DevOps.
