Description This position is contingent upon successful contract submission and award. Prevailance is seeking a senior-level Principal Analyst to support CNAL N82 aircraft carrier requirements analysis, with a primary focus on CVN-78 Class introduction, transition, and deployment. This role provides analytical and advisory support to Integrated Transition Teams (ITTs), Project Focus Groups (PFGs), and senior leadership to ensure carrier transition efforts remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the Master Aviation Plan (MAP). The ideal candidate brings deep aircraft carrier operational knowledge, strong analytical rigor, and the ability to brief and advise flag-level leadership. Travel may be required. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Analyze ship and ship/air integration requirements and develop briefings and written recommendations for the CVN-78 Class Integrated Transition Team (ITT) and associated Project Focus Groups (PFGs) (Manpower & Manning; Training & Certification; Doctrine & Operations; Maintenance; Logistics; Facilities & Infrastructure) Support on-time introduction and deployment of CVN-78 Class aircraft carriers in alignment with the CNAF Master Aviation Plan (MAP) Draft briefings for the CVN-78 ITT Executive Steering Committee (ESC) identifying transition risks and proposed mitigation strategies for CVN-78 and follow-on ships in class Facilitate the PFG VI (Facilities and Infrastructure) Working Group by coordinating quarterly meetings, tracking design updates, budget reviews, and execution progress Review and analyze plans for, and results of, CVN-68 and CVN-78 Class operational tests and evaluations and identify risks impacting introduction and deployment timelines Assess impacts to transition progress and recommend mitigation strategies for issues identified during periodic CVN-78 Class transition reviews Analyze emerging technologies and provide recommendations to CNAL N82 regarding applicability to CVN-68 and CVN-78 aircraft carrier classes Draft CVN Navy Aviation Requirements Group (NARG) planning documentation for the annual CVN NARG Conference and produce post-conference summaries identifying key issues, priorities, action items, and lessons learned Requirements Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship required Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting studies, analyses, surveys, and reporting for organizational or enterprise-level initiatives Experience in systems design analysis, functional requirements analysis, and implementation or transition planning for government or commercial systems and processes Proven experience preparing and delivering flag-level briefings on manpower, aircraft, facilities, and equipment requirements Required Traits: In-depth knowledge of nuclear-powered aircraft carrier operations, including engineering, propulsion, ship self-defense, combat systems, and maintenance Practical knowledge of the Navy aircraft carrier requirements definition process, carrier introduction and transition processes, the CNAF MAP, and the PPBE process Strong analytical capability with the ability to solve complex, cross-functional problems Demonstrated leadership in shaping enterprise-level processes, recommendations, and planning solutions Customer-focused mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across technical and senior leadership audiences Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, science, mathematics, or a related field Advanced degree preferred Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance If you meet these qualifications and are ready to make an impact, we encourage you to apply today!
