Description
SAIC is looking for Principal Antenna Ground Systems Engineer. This position is in Colorado Springs. Below are the duties and responsibility and scope of work Concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, systems & operation. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA). Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications. Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. SCOPE: Support and/or lead special projects assigned by National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Operations Squadron (NOPS) leadership team. Provide integration and engineering support tasks to include: Monitor developments in the launch and aerospace industry that will afford opportunities for ground antenna network architectures. Perform ground antenna network architecture analyses and risk assessments; make recommendations on improvement or mitigation options. Assess new capabilities for technical performance, security, and cost suitability; make recommendations for implementation. Interact with Satellite Control Network (SCN) and United States Space Force (USSF) stakeholders to convey requirements and establish capability to support future SCN advanced capabilities from NOPS. Develop and vet requirements to drive material solutions; track procurement and project status. Engage stakeholders across NRO Enterprise and mission partners to formulate implementation strategies. Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math, or comparable technical experience. 10+ years’ experience and must possess a working knowledge of the Space Force Satellite Control Network and Satellite Control Network-like Antenna Architectures. Experience in working with NRO customers throughout Enterprise to formulate implementation strategies Experience in launch activities to improve ground antenna network architectures Applicants must possess excellent written and communication skills. Must have a TS/SCI/poly.
