Description
onsemi is looking for an experienced engineer to join the SiC Product Division as a Principal Applications Engineer. As a Principal Applications Engineer, you will work in a fast‑paced team that evaluates new Silicon Carbide (SiC) technologies, validates next‑generation SiC products and supports release to production. The work includes theoretical analysis of power converter topologies, simulation, and hands‑on bench testing. You will interact with leading global customers and collaborate with teams across onsemi. You will also have a direct influence on future product roadmaps. This is a highly visible role and includes up to 10 percent travel to support customers worldwide.  Key Responsibilities: * Evaluate and validate advanced SiC products * Work in a modern, well‑equipped high‑power laboratory * Design and test evaluation boards, and write application notes and datasheets * Partner with marketing to create collateral and support tradeshows * Collaborate with customers on complex power semiconductor challenges and build long‑term technical relationships We offer: * Guaranteed annual bonus 50% from monthly base salary * Annual corporate bonus paid based on the company's results * Benefit Plus (Cafeteria) credit up to 480 € per year * Financial contribution in the amount of 8.85€ (employee contribution 1.85€) * Travel allowance  * Contribution to the third pillar of the pension plan up to 3% of the gross salary * Sick leave contribution * Regular annual salary review * Financial reward for reffering a new employee * Extra days off – Bridge days * Sick days * Volunteering day off * MultiSport card * Individual education and employee development plan * Teambuilding and company’s events * Mental health support program What we are looking for: * Bachelor’sMaster’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering  with 10+ years of relevant experience * Experience with SiC products validation is strongly preferred * Strong understanding of power converter topologies * Solid knowledge of SiC device behavior and key tradeoffs * Familiarity with control theory, analog circuits, power supply design, and basic digital electronics * Experience with PCB layout, LabView, and/or Python is a plus * Strong proficiency with SPICE simulators, SIMPLIS/Simetrix, and MATLAB or equivalent tools * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English onsemi (Nasdaq: ON) is driving disruptive innovations to help build a better future.
