WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

We are looking for a Principal Architect. Reporting to Sr. Director, Enterprise Architecture, who will play a critical role in driving IT Business System Support (BSS) Transformation.

WHAT YOU BRING – COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or Engineering discipline (required).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect in a large enterprise IT or Engineering department.
  • A strong understanding of Telco applications and Business Support Systems (BSS), focusing on CRM, order management, and Billing domains.
  • A strong understanding and experience in Microservices architecture and cloud native solutions.
  • A strong understanding of common architecture frameworks and information models such as TM Forum Frameworx (Open API, TAM, eTOM, SID) or Zachman.
  • Strong decision-making, consensus building and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills both in person and written.
  • A keen and demonstrated interest in learning opportunities to further develop self and community.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop relationships with business stakeholders, technology leadership team, and product managers to build the technology strategy to deliver the business strategies.
  • Research key technology trends, architectural patterns, and best practices and provide the expertise to the technology teams.
  • Define the target and transitional architecture states for BSS systems to support the business strategy and define the architecture principles that guide design decision making.
  • Analyze the current IT landscape, detect critical deficiencies, and build gap analysis to drive the technology roadmap.
  • Lead identification and analysis of key industry and technology trends and provide technical leadership in vendor selection initiatives (RFI/RFQ/RFPs).
  • Communicate the technology strategy to senior leadership teams and stakeholders at various levels of the IT and Business organisations.
  • Develop internal architectural standards and patterns and communicate them across solution architects, tech leads, and developers.
  • Provide strategic technical direction across value streams and ARTs to ensure the organization can take advantage of emerging opportunities while responding to and mitigating threats.
