He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About this role Reporting to the Manager Asset Lifecycle, the focus of this role is the development and implementation of Watercare’s Asset Lifecycle Framework by leading a whole-of-life and evidence-based approach to processes, publications, technical decisions etc This role is a key to ensuring quality in design and construction of our assets to support our long-term growth and sustainability outcomes. Key responsibilities will include: Providing expert technical competency and guidance Managing and developing Watercare’s Engineering Standards Framework (ESF) Leading the development of key water and wastewater engineering standards and guidelines Leading the approval of products and equipment for application within Watercare’s asset base. Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and a genuine commitment to improvement. You will have the following: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent professional qualification (potentially civil, mechanical, or process engineering or similarly broad discipline) Chartered Professional with 10+ years relevant experience in infrastructure focused or product Design, Design Management, Construction (or DBO), Technical Procurement 10+ years relevant experience in infrastructure focused or product design, design management, construction (or DBO), technical procurement Understanding of Root Cause Analysis, Asset Condition and Criticality Assessment Practices Working experience of Standards Compliance, Quality Assurance and Training Competency Frameworks Project management experience.
