ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Education (DE) leads the delivery of education and development services to children and students both directly through government schools and indirectly through the regulation and funding of early childhood services and non-government schools.

THIS ROLE IS FIXED TERM FULL TIME FROM THE 19/08/2025 TILL 19/08/2028.

Reporting to the Manager, Child Safety Systems, the Principal Business Analyst is responsible for leading system, business and process improvement projects for the Conduct and Integrity Division.

The purpose of this role is to:

• Identify system improvement and process improvement opportunities for the Division
• Define and refine opportunities through thorough business analysis including requirements gathering and validation, data analysis and process mapping
• Engage with stakeholders from across the Division and externally as required
• Manage improvement implementation including timing, change management, documentation including training material and guideline documentation
• Build and develop user acceptance test plans and validate with users
• Engage with system vendor to manage development, testing and implementation system changes
• Coordinate with other business units on changes and upgrades to their versions of the application
