Job Description Own and evolve a defined portion of the Digital RTL‑to‑GDSII CAD/EDA solution, including methodology, automation, and deployment. Provide hands‑on enablement and execution support for internal HPC design teams to ensure effective adoption of approved EDA flows. Apply strong understanding of HPC‑class digital implementation methodologies to support large, complex SoC designs. Develop, debug, and maintain RTL‑to‑GDSII flows using industry‑leading EDA tools (Synopsys/Cadence). Build and maintain flow automation using Tcl, Python, and Perl, applying disciplined software engineering practices. Evaluate EDA tools and flow enhancements to improve design efficiency, robustness, and turnaround time. Support EDA infrastructure operations, including license servers, efficient license use, and compute‑farm execution. Work with job schedulers (e.g., LSF/Slurm) to diagnose issues and optimize throughput and resource usage. Contribute to EDA tool qualification and certification activities aligned with ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434. Lead vendor escalations and collaborate with offshore and outsourcing partners as required. Provide technical leadership, including supervision and day‑to‑day guidance of a small team of consultants supporting this role. Operate as a senior individual contributor with accountability for delivery, quality, and cross‑team coordination in a dynamic design environment. Conversational proficiency in Japanese is preferred. Qualifications BTech/MTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 12+ years of experience in EDA/CAD. Proven experience in supporting mature-node technologies (e.g., 22nm, 12nm). Expertise in Synopsys/Cadence RTL to GDS digital design flow.
