Description
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life and want to be part of city-shaping projects and providing the best solutions to our clients. You are a tertiary qualified engineer with extensive experience in urban development design and come to us with: Relevant degree (Civil Engineering) recognised by a relevant Industry Association or Institute; Chartered Professional Engineer status, and RPEV, with MRWA accreditation (SD1, SD2, WD1, WD2); Registered building practitioner in Victoria, with competency to provide Regulation 126 certificates for civil component of build form projects (preferred); Extensive industry experience (minimum 10-15 years) including overseeing the engineering aspects of a project, application of standards and technical knowledge within the VIC urban development market; Strong working knowledge of IDM, EDCM, Austroads and Melbourne Water guidelines. Experience with sewer rising main and pump station design is desirable; Ability to provide technical expertise and direction through consultative support and effective communication to the teams; Ability to mentor junior engineers and supporting project teams; Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and complex project environment; Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
The Principal Civil Design Engineer will oversee engineering aspects of urban development projects and provide consultative support to project teams. They will also mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
