Responsibilities

THE ROLE

AECOM’s Christchurch office is looking for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Transport team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our experienced team to leverage your engineering and analytical skills, delivering innovative solutions for a wide range of Transport and Civil Infrastructure projects. Projects include State Highway upgrades for NZTA, Aviation, Local councils, renewable energy infrastructure as well as supporting national teams on major infrastructure projects.

WHAT WILL A DAY IN THIS ROLE LOOK LIKE:

  • Manage projects, from setup through to close out of delivery. Including developing and managing project budgets, resourcing and ensuring quality control processes are followed.
  • Provide design guidance and mentoring to help deliver projects and develop the team.
  • Undertake client-facing roles on projects, providing project updates, understanding clients concerns and address any project issues.
  • Support the preparation of proposals and business development activities.
