In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the virtualization stack that powers hybrid cloud solutions for major enterprises. Your contributions will extend beyond just managing virtual machines; you will enhance and optimize the platform, ensuring its scalability and performance. By developing innovative solutions, you will directly influence the direction of robust virtualization software used across global enterprises, driving efficiency and effectiveness. \n Accountabilities Develop virtualization infrastructure software. Lead the design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of software systems. Collaborate with architects to create competitive roadmaps. Assist with customer issues, providing insights and ensuring compliance with technical standards. Stay informed on industry trends to incorporate innovation. Work with cross-functional teams to recommend effective solutions. Understand operational challenges and develop risk-mitigation strategies. Mentor junior engineers and represent engineering teams in technical discussions. Requirements Expertise in virtualization or container technologies (KVM, Docker, Kubernetes). Strong background in programming languages like Java, Groovy; Ruby or Python is a plus. Experience in compute, storage or networking product development. Deep understanding of Linux kernel/OS environments. Familiarity with storage technologies (Ceph, NFS, iSCSI). Knowledge of advanced virtualization concepts (live migration, snapshots). Experience in virtual networking (SR-IOV, VLANs). Understanding of security principles (TPMs, SELinux). Proficient with build tools, version control, and CI/CD processes. Eagerness to learn cloud technologies (AWS, Azure). Strong communication and presentation skills. Proven problem-solving abilities and self-motivation. Experience with Agile software development practices. Ability to translate product requirements into technical tasks. Record of innovation and contributions to product improvement.
