SUMMARY

We’re seeking a strategic finance leader with deep expertise in credit risk, financial modeling, and contract evaluation. This role is pivotal in safeguarding SRP’s financial health by assessing and mitigating risks tied to large customers. You’ll work cross-functionally with departments like Economic Development, Strategic Energy Management, and Legal, and play a key role in mentoring our Credit Analyst team.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in financial analysis, credit risk, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with large customer contracts and financial governance processes strongly desired.
  • Proven track record of developing financial models and conducting risk assessments.

EDUCATION

A bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution is required, plus an additional 18 graduate-level credits in the area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and validate customer deposits including letters of credit and other credit support instruments to ensure compliance and mitigate financial exposure.
  • Conduct advanced financial analysis to assess bill credit risk and revenue stream credit risk.
  • Support governance teams by identifying and communicating financial risks embedded in large customer contracts.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Economic Development, Strategic Energy Management, Treasury, Legal and Pricing to align financial strategies.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to support decision-making.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on financial insights.
  • Mentor and guide financial analysts within the department to foster professional growth and analytical capabilities.
  • Stay current on industry trends, financial regulations, and credit risk methodologies.
