Focus: Data Governance, Consistency, and Central Data Hub Mindset: Data-Obsessed and Foundation-First. You are the Technical Steward of the central data hub, building for scale without premature optimization. Accountability: Solely accountable for the integrity and consistency of all critical enterprise data. Core Responsibilities: Technical Steward & Strategist: Act as the Technical Steward for the entire data fabric, setting the long-term technical direction and overseeing the implementation of the mandated Single Source of Truth. Player-Coach Execution: Act as the Player-Coach, personally coding the most complex, foundational data pipelines (ETL/ELT), while mentoring and enforcing rigorous standards for data quality and security across the squad. Data Integrity Enforcement: Design and implement mandatory governance protocols to ensure consistency, accuracy, and lineage validation from ingestion through all consumption points. Scalability & Performance: Engineer the data systems for extreme scalability, ensuring data retrieval and processing can handle 10x growth in transactions. Primary Outcome KPI: Critical Data Consistency Rate: The percentage of defined critical business records that are fully compliant, consistent, and validated across all interconnected Enterprise Internal Systems. Goal: Maintain Critical Data Consistency Rate at 99.0% or higher. Qualifications Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a senior/technical leadership role (e.g., Staff Engineer, Team Lead). Technical Stewardship: Proven track record as a Player-Coach: both hands-on coding of core systems and successful technical mentorship of engineering teams. Domain Expertise: Deep, specific expertise in the relevant domain's core technology (Data systems for Memory) Scalability & Quality: Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-volume, mission-critical systems with a relentless focus on stability, measured by error rates and uptime. Mindset: Strong adherence to First Principles thinking; proven ability to avoid premature optimization while building for long-term scalability and technical elegance. Responsibilities

The Principal Data Architect will act as the Technical Steward for the entire data fabric, overseeing the implementation of a Single Source of Truth. They will also personally code complex data pipelines while mentoring the team to enforce data quality and security standards.
