We are currently expanding our Data and AI capabilities in Oslo and looking for a Principal Data Platform Architect to lead this journey. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary specialist who wants to combine hands-on technical architecture with strategic leadership. Your Role As our Principal Architect, you will act as the technical authority for our most complex engagements. You will help build our culture, set our standards, and mentor our growing team. Strategic Leadership: Define architecture standards and delivery frameworks for Azure-based data solutions. Solution Design: Architect robust, scalable platforms using Azure Data Platform (Synapse, Data Factory, Fabric) and Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow). Trusted Advisor: Engage with C-level stakeholders to translate business needs into technical roadmaps. Team Enablement: Mentor data engineers and consultants, fostering a culture of technical excellence and psychological safety. Innovation: Stay ahead of the Azure/Databricks roadmap and share your knowledge through internal sessions and industry events. Qualifications Who You Are We are looking for a senior professional with a consulting mindset who enjoys solving complex problems. Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering/Architecture, with at least 3 years focused on Azure data platforms. Technical Core: Deep expertise in Azure Synapse, ADLS, Data Factory, and Event Hubs. Databricks Specialist: Proven proficiency with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and the MLflow ecosystem. Communication: You can explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. Leadership: Experience leading technical teams or projects is essential. Certifications (Highly valued but not mandatory): Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Professional.
