Our client, a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy and industry leader with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the UK, is currently seeking a Principal Designer to join their expanding team. They are receptive in their search and open to Building Surveyors, Project Managers and Architectural professionals. The successful candidate does not necessarily have to be working as a Principal Designer but must have good knowledge of the Building Safety Act and be eager to further their knowledge. With offices nationwide and a diverse team of specialists, our client works across a broad range of sectors including Residential, Education, Commercial and Public Sector.
As a Principal Designer you will take a leading role in ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act (BSA) and Building Regulations (BR) across a wide range of projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies to deliver safe, compliant and high-quality outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Building Regulations and associated legislation
  • Experience assisting clients with successful applications to the Building Safety Regulator
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Full driving licence
  • Keen interest in the Building Safety Act
  • Live within a commutable distance of Newcastle
