Description Drive Mission-Critical Cloud Infrastructure for National Security Prime Solutions Group (PSG), Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to join a high-profile program supporting a major defense customer. This initiative delivers a cutting-edge Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) cloud platform, managing and analyzing digital engineering data to enable seamless tool interoperability, AI-ready datasets, and a fully integrated digital thread. In this role, you will design, deploy, and sustain modern enterprise cloud infrastructures supporting Linux, Windows, containerized applications, virtualized systems, and enterprise-scale DevSecOps pipelines. You will lead efforts in automation, workflow orchestration, and CI/CD integration in one of the government’s most complex, secure, and mission-critical digital environments. Key Responsibilities Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services across Linux and Windows environments. Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to enable scalable, repeatable, and automated deployments. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications, databases, and servers using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Foreman, GitLab, and Selenium. Configure and manage Identity & Access Management (IdAM), Active Directory, and LDAP integrations. Engineer containerized solutions and orchestrated workflows (e.g., Kubernetes, Rancher). Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational procedures. Prepare and deliver technical briefings to government stakeholders and senior leadership. Develop and execute automated testing plans for both security and functional requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud, infrastructure, and DevOps issues with rigor and precision. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile Scrum teams, contributing to sprints, JIRA tasks, and CI/CD improvements. Mentor junior engineers and share expertise to elevate team capabilities. Requirements U.S. Citizenship Active Top Secret Clearance or higher Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field 10+ years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, cloud engineering, or enterprise IT Active CompTIA Security+ CE or ability to obtain within first 90 days Proven expertise with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and DevSecOps best practices Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and solution design skills Experience with cloud architecture (AWS preferred; Azure considered) Proficiency in scripting and integration using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy Familiarity with Agile methodologies and task management tools (e.g., JIRA) Demonstrated ability to apply engineering rigor and system validation practices Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling: Foreman, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Skills & Experience Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environments (e.g., Cameo, Teamwork Cloud) Expertise with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Rancher) Familiarity with monitoring and analytics tools (Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace) Experience with ServiceNow integration SharePoint or IBM Enterprise Lifecycle Management experience Exposure to multiple cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, IBM) Expertise with API gateways, catalogs, and integration layers Experience developing automated test plans (e.g., Selenium) Ability to lead systems engineering perspectives across infrastructure, cloud, and security domains Tableau or other analytics/dashboard integration experience Why This Role Matters As a Staff DevOps Engineer on this program, you will work directly on-site with a key government customer, acting as the critical connection between PSG and growing customer initiatives.
