Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Principal Digital Electrical Engineer to perform duties at a work center with an emphasis on communications products. The primary work product is the complete digital design of a PCB (Printed Wiring Board) from inception through layout and assembly.
The successful candidate must operate with the highest level of personal integrity, adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, and adhere to accepted processes to ensure successful completion of projects. Other desirable attributes include being able to work under own initiative, be calm under pressure and responsive to change with a logical approach to technical problem resolution and decision making.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Ability to take a design concept from requirements to CCA development
  • Experience with printed circuit board (PCB) design process and expertise in full suite of design tools
  • Proficient in Design Verification/Analysis – Timing/Power/Signal Integrity analysis, bench-level testing, troubleshooting, and test results analysis
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical engineer developing digital/mixed signal high speed Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER

  • Experience with Siemen’s Xpedition Design Tools
  • Understanding of IPC Standards for PCB Design and Fabrication
  • Understanding of IEEE, MIL standards
  • Adept at using the Microsoft Tool Suite
  • Experience with analog and mixed‐signal circuits
