About the opportunity

AGIG is seeking a Principal EC&I Engineer (Project Management) to lead the delivery of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Stay-in-Business (SIB) projects across AGIG assets. This senior role will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are safely delivered, meet operational requirements, and comply with engineering standards, asset integrity, and regulatory obligations.

• Key responsibilitiesLead the delivery of EC&I SIB projects from concept and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Provide technical oversight of electrical and control system designs, ensuring compliance with standards, safety requirements, and asset integrity obligations.
• Collaborate with PMO, maintenance teams, and vendors to achieve project outcomes, operational requirements, and business objectives.
• Support project execution by providing engineering guidance, resolving technical issues, and driving quality assurance activities.
• Manage project governance, budgets, forecasts, and Management of Change (MoC) requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
• About youBachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial Control Systems, or a related discipline, recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Hazardous Area (EEHA/IECEx) qualification, with experience in the design, inspection, or governance of hazardous area equipment.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams or technical specialists and coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
• Experience within utilities, energy, or industrial infrastructure environments, with strong exposure to electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across teams.
