Job Description Our rail team in Queensland is continuing to grow, supporting a strong pipeline of work with Queensland Rail and across broader infrastructure programs. Our current and upcoming projects are heavily focused on infrastructure electrical delivery, including Zero Emissions Bus (ZEB) infrastructure, HV electrical systems, and lighting design giving you the opportunity to work across both rail and adjacent transport electrification projects shaping the future of Queensland’s network. This role has been created to support that demand and deliver practical, high-impact electrical solutions across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. How you’ll make a difference: Deliver high-quality technical design across infrastructure electrical works, including HV systems, substations and distribution networks. Contribute to the design and delivery of Zero Emissions Bus (ZEB) infrastructure, supporting the transition to more sustainable transport solutions. Lead and support HV electrical works, including design, integration and interface with existing networks. Deliver lighting and HV design solutions across rail and transport infrastructure projects. Provide subject matter expertise aligned with Queensland Rail standards and broader infrastructure requirements. Resolve technical interface challenges across multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated outcomes. Support assurance activities including design reviews, verification and compliance documentation. Qualifications The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick every box, we’d still encourage you to apply. The qualities that help you thrive: Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) – mandatory for this role. Eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia; Chartered (CPEng) status is highly regarded. Demonstrated experience in infrastructure electrical works, including HV systems, lighting design, and transport-related electrical infrastructure (including ZEB projects highly regarded). Strong understanding of designer obligations under the Rail Safety National Law, with experience working within Queensland Rail standards and assurance frameworks. Proven experience working within multidisciplinary infrastructure or rail environments across Queensland.
